Let’s go on a Nutritional Journey

Christine Found-Jackson, M.S., CNA

I became interested in equine nutrition after pursuing information for my own horses, and seeing that much of the diet recommendations were biased by a feed company’s products, or a certain ideology, and/or not based on equine nutrition research. I received my Master’s degree in Wildlife Biology from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada, where I learned to think critically about science and interpret research findings on wildlife ecology and behavior. This was followed by more than 25 years as a professional in the field, where I communicated extensively with the public on various issues affecting wildlife. Through it all, I’ve been an avid rider, trainer, dressage coach and all around horseperson, including horsekeeping on various sized-facilities, for most of my life. I recently became certified to help other horse owners and their equine companions to appropriately assess and balance equine diets and to make recommendations towards better feeding and horsekeeping practices. I love to collaborate with other equine professionals, including veterinarians and bodyworkers, in enriching and maximizing the health and well-being of horses.
